Methods of oil lubricated sliding bearing
1.Manual lubrication
It is the most primitive method to supply oil with a lubricator when the lubricating oil of the bearing is found insufficiently,the disadvantage is that difficult to maintain a certain amount of oil, and a greater risk of forgetting to refuel due to negligence.Usually,it is only used for light load, low speed or intermittent exercise. It is better to install a dust caps or ball valves above oil filler holes, and use felt, cotton or wool as filtering devices.
2.Drip lubrication
Using a drip oil cup with a fixed amount of lubricating oil to supply through container's holes, needles, valves, etc. This is suit for Light and medium load bearings with a peripheral speed of less than 4 ~ 5m / s.
3.Oil ring lubrication
This method only use for the horizontal shafts. Relying on the rotatable oil ring that is attached to the shaft brings the lubricating oil into the bearing. Suitable for medium and high speed bearings with shaft diameter bigger than 50mm. It's better to choose the seamless oil ring and the bearing width is less than 2mm, one oil ring is enough, otherwise two oil rings are required.
4.Oil line lubrication
The action capillary and siphon of the oil rope brings the lubricating oil from the oil cup into the bearing.Suitable for light and medium load bearings with coaxial speed less than 4 ~ 5m / s. The oil rope can be a filtering.
5.Oil pad lubrication
Using the capillary action of the oil pad, apply the oil in the oil sump to the surface of the shaft . This method can keep the friction surface always clean, but the dust will also block the capillary holes and cause insufficient oil supply. oil pad lubrication is only reach 1/20 of oil lubrication.
6.Oil bath lubrication
Immersing a part of the bearing in lubricating oil. This method is commonly used for thrust bearings on vertical shafts.
7.Splashing oil lubrication
The splashing lubricating oil that from the slaping of rotating parts in the oil tank supplies to bearing which is suitable for bearings with higher speeds.
8.Spraying lubrication
Spraying lubricant oil to the friction bearing surface is suitable for high-speed bearings.
9.Pressure oil lubrication
The oil is supplied to the bearing by the pressure of the lubricating pump, and the extra lubricating oil flows from the bearing is recovered to the oil tank for recycling. It can supply oil at most and the most stable lubrication method. It is suitable for high speed, heavy load, and heavy load or some main sliding bearing.
